Picture Day
Yesterday was picture day at school. We won't get the proofs back from the 'real' photographer for a little while yet, but these are some shots I got at home before chauffeuring our young professor off to school.
Some people home-school their kids. Me, I home-barber mine. It's a good thing I am starting to get better at it, or I would feel bad for charging the wife $10.00 per haircut.
Next week his class goes on a field trip to visit a pumpkin patch. We're pretty stoked about it in my household, as the wife and I will be accompanying as chaperons.

Hey Terry – that’s a good lookin’ little guy. His haircut is passable, too. Just don’t enter the realm of DIY Dentistry! ;-)

"Oh sure, I would never be good enough to do gumline work, or those tricky cavities that you get in between your teeth" I thought, "but a basic straight forward filling, I could probably do that."
I attributed the notion to PVC cement fumes and never gave it another thought until I saw the movie Castaway where the main character knocked out an abscessed tooth with an ice skate blade.
All this to say that I arrived at the decision never to engage in DIY-dentistry independently. I'm also happy to say that I earn a much more honest living these days.
When researching for another post I came across this...
