Standing in my driveway, just before dawn.
Looking at the thin band of coral in the eastern sky.
The moon, still shining above.
The wet air, laden with the sweet aroma of my lawn.
The robins, singing while my neighbors sleep on.

Thumbs up to this - I spend at least 5 minutes every morning standing out on my driveway with a cup of coffee watching the sunrise while the dogs "use the facilities."
Right on, man. I was running too late for the coffee part, though.
I'm not much of a morning person - I have always been more of a night owl. But the days that I get up early I never seem to regret it.
